Susan Nelson Ford's Obituary
Susan Nelson Ford passed away on September 26th, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Ford; children, Marion (David) McClellan, Dan (Wendy) Ford, Corrine (Eric) Simonsen, Alyson (Darrin) Allred, and Adam (Mandy) Ford. She is also survived by her sister, Saundra Aker; brother, Lee Nelson; sister, Margaret Hannuksela, her 23 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and preceded in death by her parents and grandson Daniel.
Susan was born on August 17, 1944 in Logan, Utah to Marion Smith and Robert Alton Nelson. The Nelson's moved to California in 1949 where she grew up. She graduated from Clayton Valley High School in 1962. She went on to complete her B.S. in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University. She married Gregory Ford on May 29, 1968 in Oakland, California. She was an Elementary School teacher and a Homemaker. Sue was a gifted & loving teacher; a devoted wife, mother, and friend.
Her artistic abilities were used in many ways from decorating her home, painting, crafting, sewing, gift giving, cooking and everything she touched. She was a friend to all.
A viewing will be held Friday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. and a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS church at 49 East Centennial Boulevard in Saratoga Springs, Utah. The interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Hills in Provo, Utah at 4800 North 650 East.
