Susan Ashby Henrie's Obituary
Susan Ashby Henrie, 74, of Hooper Utah, passed away February 9th, 2025, from a sudden illness. Where she passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Susan was born on June 24,1950, to William and Doris Ashby in Morgan, Utah. After Susan graduated from Bonneville High in 1968, she married her high school sweetheart, Michael Archie Henrie. Susan and Mike were married February 18,1971, in the Salt Lake Temple where they were sealed for all time and eternity.
Susan was involved in square dancing, coaching soccer, helping Mike with scouts, Susan helped open a store in the basement for which Susan taught her kids how to run it. Susan and Michael did Dutch oven catering for a while. When she was out in the outdoors, she was at peace, she loved camping, 4 wheeling, and finding the biggest puddles to go through-the muddier the better. Susan had a love for any animal! She had a very soft spot for her cats and dogs. She also enjoyed being outside where she could watch all her farm animals.
Her most precious time was spent raising her 4 children, which grew to 17 grandkids, which then grew to 14 great grandkids.
She is survived by her husband Mike of almost 54 years. Her kids Brian Henrie (Hooper), Shawn (Jenny)(Roy), Brent (Julie) (Rio Rancho NM), Tad Christiansen (adopted son), (Syracuse) and Sharrel (Keith), (Ogden). Susan is also survived by her brother Claude Ashby (Linda) and sister Sandy (Doug) Thompson. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Doris Ashby, her brother Earl Ashby, as well as many other family members.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held March 1, 2025. There will be a viewing from 10 AM to 10:30 AM and service following. A luncheon will be held after the services.
