Susan Brown Woolley's Obituary
Susan Brown Woolley was born on December 3, 1940 to Evelyn Prichard and Cecil Elwood Brown. She passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023. Susan was born in Burbank California, the youngest of three sisters. She grew up in North Hollywood and graduated from North Hollywood High School. She moved to Utah and attended BYU, graduating from the College of Nursing. While there, a young man she initially thought was a pest, announced he was going to marry her. A few years later, he did just that. Susan and Ross Woolley were married and sealed in Los Angeles in 1963. They had five children of their own and took on numerous foster children. Susan worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse and nurse manager for close to 50 years during which she earned a Masters of Public Health degree from the University of Utah. Susan was passionate about her work helping people. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved meeting new people, always making sure she knew the names of as many people that crossed her path as she could. Susan and Ross moved many times, creating homes in Utah, Arizona, Hawaii, California, and Texas. Each move brought a new circle of lifetime friends. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by her sister Carolyn Duscavage, children; Allison (Shawn), Robert (Shari), Dianna (Austin), Richard (Andrea), and Joseph (Melissa), 17 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 7 at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden, Utah.
