Moms poem
So many thoughts I would like to say
As I lie in silence another day.
People come, people go and
I am alone with my thoughts you know.
How did this disease come to be
to devastate my body and all of me.
Why is my body not able to stand at all,
please do not give me your hand, in my mind I still stand tall.
But my body takes over and I soon it will fail but I am still the mother that will always be there.
But my body has not taken my thoughts from me.
I still notice the kind things you do for me.
Capture a memory of me that will make you smile.
Hold it close to you for a while.
Soon I will leave you, but do not fear
In your memory and heart, I will always be near.
Soon I will walk even run and dance in the morning sun.
I will hug and kiss my mom and catch up with my loved one that have gone.
Know I’m at peace and feel your love.
Love you always, Mom-By Glade Marsing
