Telesforo Salinas Perez's Obituary
Telesforo “Tel” Salinas Perez, 84, was born May 26, 1938, in Raymondville, Texas to Abel Perez, Sr and Antonia Salinas. He passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the 7th of 9 children. His siblings are Abel Perez, Rudolfo Perez, Roger Perez, Minerva Cuenca, Adelfa Guzman, and Felicita Torres. All are previously deceased. His two survived sisters are Andrea Torres and Romelia Torres in San Antonio, Texas. Tel grew up and went to school in Raymondville, Texas, and graduated from Raymondville High School. Following high school, he left to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Mission, Spanish Speaking. Attended Idaho Brigham Young University. He worked for Safeway and Food for Less for 30 years. Everyone called him “Tel”.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Rae Jerman and his four children: Paul (Brenda) Perez, Marcus (Laura) Perez, Ryan (Carrie) Perez and Tara Perez. They have 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Celebration of Life for Telesforo Salinas Perez will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Jordan Event Center, 9112 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. His ashes will be buried on his Birthday, May 26th, 2023, at Elysian Gardens, during a small ceremony.
