Terence Farrell Oler's Obituary
On March 21st, Terry Oler, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away at the age of 75 years young. Terry was born June 28th, 1947 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada and attended BYU where he earned a degree in social work and psychology.
He met his wife, Judie at a singles event in Lake Tahoe. They were married and sealed in the Oakland temple in 1988 and together raised five kids. They lived in San Jose, CA where he worked as a State Farm Insurance agent for 34 years. He made many lifelong friends in San Jose that he kept in close contact with. He retired in 2006 and they moved to Utah, where many of those friends also followed.
Terry was very well read and had many hobbies over the years, some of which included racquetball, paintball, camping, traveling, driving his UTV, reading, building models and RC cars, woodworking, and, most of all, shooting.
Terry is survived by his loving wife Judie, children Kaisa (Jason) Richins, Andy (Ione) Parsons, Marin (Buck) Holmes, and Greg; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his beloved cat Coco and puppy Daisy. He was greeted on the other side by his parents, two brothers, and son Jensen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25th at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 947 North Jack Rabbit Run ~ Saratoga Springs, Utah, with a viewing before from 9:30 AM - 10:40 AM at the church.
