Teresa L Lege's Obituary
Teresa (Terry) Libutti Lege passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, in her Orem, Utah home, closing an amazing life. She was born on January 12, 1948 in Boise, Idaho, the first and only daughter of Carmen and Margaret Libutti. Their family was completed a year later when her brother Gene was born. With their many moves around the country, to Illinois, South Dakota, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Ohio. Terry always made dear friends with her kind, endearing ways, making a difference with those around her.
She was a conscientious student, an avid reader, and a gifted painter. She served in the Italian Mission 1969-1971, highlighted by meeting relatives there. She returned to Italy many times to do family history and appreciate her heritage. She attended Ricks College, BYU, George Mason University, and University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she met Rick Lege. They were married on June 8, 1979 in the Washington, D.C. Temple. They raised two sons, Stephen and Ryan, who were a joy to their lives. She loved teaching children, working in the library, and enjoying music and the arts. After living in Charlottesville for 26 years, Terry and Rick moved to Orem, Utah in 2005. She enjoyed her volunteer work, tutoring, family history, compassionate service and being a good listening friend.
She has been a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandma to her four granddaughters, Madelyn, Sydney, Kiina and Kokomi. By her faith, testimony and endurance, she was an example and inspiration for all.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Sharon 6th Ward, 545 South 800 East in Orem at 11 am. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life there between 9:30 and 10:45 am. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East.
