Teresa Ann McKenzie's Obituary
Teresa Ann Mckenzie, a proud business owner and devoted mother, passed away on May 26, 2024, in Sunset, Utah, at the age 67. She was born on August 7, 1956, in Germany. Teresa will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Teresa leaves behind her loving sister Gloria Jones, brother Allen Mckenzie, son Jayson Everett, daughter Trinitie (Paul) Russell, son Stormin Norman, and grandchildren Gage Everett, RuthAnn Everett, and Olivia Russell. She also had many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Teresa was preceded in death by her father Wayne L Mckenzie, mother Mary E Mckenzie, and brother William Mckenzie.
As a small business owner and talented hairdresser, Teresa found joy in her work and was able to make a living doing what she loved. She started in the industry at a young age and quickly decided she wanted to teach and obtained her instructor license. She taught at Painters as well as Fran Browns and eventually opened her own salon Teresa's New Waves.
In her free time, Teresa enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and gardening, and having parties in her backyard, which she was so proud of. Her love for nature was evident in the beauty she created around her.
A celebration of Teresa's life will be held for friends and family on her birthday, August 7, 2024, at Fort Buenaventura campground - Trappers Pavilion from 6-9 pm. The event will be a true reflection of Teresa's spirit with food, music, and stories shared in her honor.
Teresa will be remembered for her kindness, hard work, and the love she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace.
