He was our absolute favorite doctor...of all time. We were sad when he left private practice and went to the hospital full time. We did NOT want to have to find a new doctor! We will never forget how kind and gentle he was while taking care of us! He always spent time listening and explaining. He made you feel like you were his only patients! That personal and loving touch meant the world to us! We also appreciated his humor! While getting an injection to numb a part of my leg, without thinking and because I was used to talking to 4 small children all day, I found myself saying “Owie” as Dr Thomson gave me the shot. With a grin on his face, he paused and looked at me and said “Owie?!” Then he started to laugh. At first I was embarrassed that my mom voice had slipped that out but hearing him laugh made me laugh too...I never felt any pain after that. Being able to laugh with your doctor is special! Our daughter was also blessed to help care for him in his final year of life. Oh how she loved “Terry”. She did not know him as the kind doctor we did but she knew how amazing and kind and gentle he was as she got to know his family and him. She felt it an honor to care for him at this time. To sum it up best—He was a good man and a GREAT doctor! Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Thomson family especially his sweet wife Debbie! We love Dr Thomson!
