Terry "Teddybo" Aoyagi's Obituary
Terry "Teddybo" Aoyagi lost his battle with an aggressive cancer on December 7th, 2015. He passed comfortably and peacefully at his home in Taylorsville, UT at the age of 66.
Terry was born on August 24, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT to the late Jack Aoyagi and Kimi Moriyama-Taylor. He was the second of three children having two lovely sisters; April and Cindi, respectively. They had a lively upbringing with Jack at the helm. Terry graduated from Granger High School. On November 3, 1978 he married Nancy Motis, the love of his life. They lived happily and graciously until the end of his days.
Terry found his trade running a manual lathe as a machinist. He started his career in diamond drill bit manufacturing at Christensen Diamond Products and ended it at American Diamond Tool. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a compassionate friend. Terry thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. The winter months called for an array of movies and computer games. Whether it was the next sci-fi blockbuster or a round of bejeweled, it had to be loud, and loud for Terry was nearly deafening for someone with average hearing levels. During the warmer months fishing and camping amongst family and friends was a top priority. However, he enjoyed the outdoors most when on the golf course. Beyond Nancy, golf was his purest passion. Terry was also a professional nap taker, and had an affinity for the humor of flatulence.
Terry is survived by his wife Nancy; his daughter Laura (Rocky); his son Joel (Courtney); and his sisters April (Lane), and Cindi (Tom). He is preceded in death by his parents Jack Aoyagi and Kimi Moriyama-Taylor.
