Tessa Morse's Obituary
Tessa Morse, age 30, born July 24, 1982, died suddenly on Sunday morning, June 16, 2013. She and her husband of 10 years, Michael Morse, and little daughter, Melialani, have been residents of the Salt Lake area for the past 8 years. Tessa was born in Watsonville, California, but mostly raised in Salinas, California. She moved to Prescott, Arizona, and graduated from high school there, then attended Monterey Peninsula College for one year. She met and married her beloved husband, Mike, while residing in Midvale, Utah. In addition to her husband and daughter, Tessa is survived by her mother, Melinda Muir Uipi, her only brother, Joshua J. T. Uipi, two half sisters and an adopted sister. Her father, Taulua (Lou) Uipi preceded her in death in 1995. Tessa has a large extended family, including grandparents, still living. She had a real zest for life, and many interests and talents. She was unusually thoughtful and generous, and cherished family and friends alike. She could be a “Mama Bear” when it came to defending her own family, and anyone she loved. She had plans to return to school and complete her degree as soon as her young daughter entered school, and her sharp intellect and talents would have guaranteed her success at that (and anything she put her mind to!). She was the kind of person who would share her last possession with anyone in need. She loved her activity in the LDS Church, and she and her husband were scheduled to be sealed in the LDS temple in early September. She was taken to meet her Father in Heaven far too early for those who loved her dearly. She will be sorely missed.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013. The viewing and funeral services will be held in the LDS ward building at 5200 South 700 West. Viewing to be held from 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m. in the Relief Society room. Funeral services will be held in the chapel, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Immediately after the services, we will go to Elysian Gardens for the interment at 1075 East 4580 South.
