Deepest prayers, condolences to Thane's family. He was a lovely and respectful person, and one amazing rider. I met Thane at a BMW Rally in 2008. I'm from east of the Sierra Nevada, and loved talking with him. We always seemed to camp next to each other at rallies—which I contribute to a natural love of the Great Basin and heritage. He never drank coffee nor imbibed and loved riding. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. know that Thane was loved by every motorcyclist who knew him. He was a man of value and substance, and we will all miss him. Godspeed Thane Beckstrand.
