Thayle Banks' Obituary
Thayle Peck Banks (Pat) passed away May 12, 2015. She was born January 15, 1936 to Fred Peck, Jr. & Helen Livesey Peck. Pat grew up in Salt Lake, but had a wanderlust to see & live in many other parts of the country. During her career she served in the US Army, worked for DCCA and retired from the US Post Office, having received many awards and commendations, including “Women of the Year” 1983 for the postal service in Salt Lake City. After retiring she moved to Arizona for the warm and snowless winters. She returned to Salt Lake in July of 2013 due to health issues, and lived at Silver Pines Senior Apts, where again her warm and happy nature drew many friends close to her. He last few months were spend at the Beehive House in American Fork, where she received kind, gentle and loving care. Pat is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by two sons, Kendall (Vickie) Hinnant and Steven (Kim) Banks; grandchildren, Cheyanne, Cody, TJ & Elijah; and one great grandson, Koi. She is also survived by siblings, Fred Peck III (Janice), Sharon Beebe & Laurie Perez, along with many nieces and nephews with a special thanks to Brett & Donelle Perez, who made sure she attended every family event. Graveside services will be held May 15th 2015 at 11:00 AM at Murray City Cemetery.
