Theresa Ann Lemmon's Obituary
Our sweet and beautiful daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend Theresa Ann Lemmon passed away June 8 in Salt Lake City in the loving arms of her mother and surrounded by family and friends. Theresa was born Feb. 15, 1968 to Ralph Wayne and Jane Smearman Lemmon in Uniontown, Pa., but spent all of her childhood in Grantsville. Theresa’s struggles with health could not dampen her beautiful and vibrant spirit. Through her example she has given us strength and taught us to be kind, generous, courageous, honest, funny and tenacious. She has blessed us in so many ways, not the least of which is teaching us that life is as complex as we make it and we should just enjoy the simple things: love of family and friends, love of vanilla ice cream cones and root beer, love of shopping, love of crocheting gifts for others, love of watching over and taking care of others, and of course, love of listening to Kenny Rogers. Though this angel has earned her wings, her flight leaves a tremendous void for many and we will miss this darling girl, our little “Mother Theresa,” more than words can say. Theresa is survived by her mother, Jane, father and step mother Wayne and Sara, brother Duane (Angel), nephew and nieces, Dalton (Caeli), Angelic and Demie, grandma LaWayne Lemmon, aunts, uncles and cousins, special friends Dee and Brett, and by many others who love and adore her. In memory of Theresa, the family requests that we all take a minute from our busy schedules and visit someone less fortunate. It might only be a few minutes of your time, but will mean the world to them and give them something to remember for months. Stop, take a breath and enjoy life. It’s a precious gift. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
