He was born on April 30, 1933, in Fountain Green, Utah, to Thomas and Anna (Nielson) Cook.
Tom, as he was affectionately known, grew up in a farming family in Fountain Green, where he graduated from Moroni High School and later attended Snow College. Together, they raised four children in their home in the East Millcreek neighborhood of Salt Lake City, creating a home filled with faith, love, and service.
Professionally, Tom dedicated his career to auto repair. He was known for his quiet dependability, integrity, hard work, and willingness to help others. Tom's life was deeply rooted in his faith. He served in numerous church callings, including serving four full-time missions with his faithful companion. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
