Dr. Thomas E. Corkish
June 1, 1934 – July 22, 2022
Dr. Thomas E. Corkish was born June 1, 1934 in Bisbee, Arizona to Lillian Pearl (Snell) Corkish and Thomas William Corkish. He moved to Denver, Colorado at the age of ten where he met and married his wife Eberle A. (Phillipus) Corkish in 1954. He was in the United States Army and as a married couple they moved to Rothbury, Michigan. This is where their son Ronald A. Corkish was born.
After an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army, Dr. Corkish enrolled in Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. It was in Chicago that their daughter Deborah L. Corkish was born.
Upon his graduation, Dr. Corkish ministered in several Baptist churches in Michigan, Illinois, Colorado and has spent the past 46 years ministering in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. He and his wife have traveled to visit with many pastors in the United States and with missionaries on foreign soil. We will always remember him for passing out Salvation tracts to people he would meet along the way.
He is survived by his wife (Eberle) of 67 and a half years, his son (Ronald), his daughter (Deborah), grandchildren Brandon (Erin) Corkish, Brent (Naomi) Corkish and Brittney (Phil) Welu. There are also three great grandchildren Adrian Corkish, Austyn Corkish and Owen Welu. His Family also included cousins and nephews as well as member of Freedom Baptist Church.
His entire life can be summed up in one King James Bible Verse: But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
Funeral services 11:00 am, Friday, August 5, 2022 at Premier Funeral Services, 67 East 8000 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment with military honors to follow at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, UT.
