Thomas Leroy Duffy
7/2/1957 to 4/6/2021
On April 6th we lost my Husband, my best friend, father, papa and great papa Thomas Duffy.
We climbed up and down the hills of our life together for 38 years. Finally we made it to the plateau where everythinng was calm and easy. But that didn’t last long enough because then we started again, this time he was climbing mountains trying to beat cancer. Boy did he climb! I could barely keep up with him. He was a warrior. He finally climbed his last mountain with all of us by his side, loving him and sending him off to be with his precious baby boy Michael.
Tom was met in Heaven by so many of his family and friends. What a party that must have been. I imagine he is setting up his golf times and redecorating his home there right now. Probably all of their homes too❤️
Tom loved so many people in his life. He helped everyone he could. Once you were his friend you were his friend forever. Our family had to share him with so many people because everyone was family to Tom.
For now myself, his beautiful daughters; Jennifer, Jenni, Rosie, Aimee, Tiffany and Bianca. His daughter-in laws; Cherie, Jocelyn and Yazmin. His son-in law Mat, his most wonderful grandchildren; Jazmin, Miles, Alexus Shane, Ellie, Mia, Tavin, Maddi, Mckayla, Malik, Gavin, Jada, Kaylee, August, Bella, London and last but not least Emma, his one and only great granddaughter Layla, will miss him and continue to love him with all of our hearts. We will celebrate his life with so many others who called him Dad and Papa and friend. Let the party begin.
So many thanks to all of you for reaching out to him and letting him feel your love. Special thanks for his medical team at Huntsman Cancer institute. Especially to Dr Garrido for cheering him along and doing everything he could to give the extra time that we needed with him. Special thanks to Dr Fisher and his great team too.
