Thomas E Mowry's Obituary
Thomas E. Mowry, 99 passed away peacefully early morning of Friday, January 20, 2023 at Wm.E.Christofferssen Salt Lake Veterans Home in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was called to be with his Heavenly Father.
Tom was born August 4, 1923 in River Rouge, Michigan to Edward and Anna Fredette. He saw his way to Chicago, Illinois at a young age. There he met and married the love of his life, Regina Powell. Shortly after they married, he was called to duty and served in the U.S. Army WWII from 1943 to 1946 with A Company 352nd Engineer BN Europe. Upon returning to the states, him and his wife adopted the last name Mowry. They raised 3 children, Larry, Karen and Gwendolyn. He Loved his family, and was devoted Father.
Tom enjoyed doing many things. He did it all. Painting, building, gardening, helping others with their projects, fishing, riding his bike, walking, reading his bible, traveling to many places, and much, much more. He was a spiritual man and involved in many church activites. He worked hard all his life and never complained. He never knew a stranger, and made many good friends, at work, day to day life, and church, they all loved him. He was a good man. Always spoke with a kind voice, and had a great smile. He was a quiet, kind, and simple man. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Karen Gorts, Nevada, brother George Mowry, Florida, grandchildren, Larry Mowry Jr., Eric Mowry, Rhode Island, Chad Mowry, Tennessee, Thomas "TC" Mowry, Nevada, Ronald Bathje, Colorado also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Tom is predeceased by, his parents listed above, wife Regina (1975), 2nd wife Dorothy (Yates), sisters Angela, Arlene, Georgina, brother Eddie, Son Larry Sr., daughter Gwendolyn.

There will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in Illinois, where he will be joined by his son Larry Sr., and daughter Gwendolyn. The 3 will be buried at the same time, Tom and Larry Sr. will have military honors, and will all be placed next to wife and mother Regina.
