Thomas George,
Hard to believe it's been three years. Miss the calls and the stopping by the office for lunch as you passed through Elmira. Love you, miss you.

My big brother Tom - He was 6 yrs old when mom and dad brought home not one new sister but two, I am sure he wasn’t thrilled to say the least! Tom as I can remember was actually the “quiet” one in the family but don t let that fool you he had his trouble making side too. I remember mom yelling at Tom for wiring my brother Dave’s toe to shock him when it was plugged into the socket, yes there was some animosity amoung those two. I also remember you could not leave any electric things within reach of Tom. He would disassemble any transiter radio, record player or later tv or tape recorder you know just for fun so he could reassemble them of course they never did look the same so we learned to hide new electricial things from him. But he also had the fun side of showing me photography when I was in high school. He had a dark room and all the photography equipment I loved - he taught me a lot. When Kathy and Tom got married my sister and I were the babysitters for the kids so they could have a “date” in peace and quiet. In 1972 the flood of hurricane Agnes hit southern NY amoung other places. Our home on Baylor Road was flooded to the second floor - we lost a lot of stuff - my brother Dave came home on an emergency leave from the Navy to help with clean up. Tom and Kathy opened their home for some of our family to live while we got back on our feet. That’s how they were, family is very important to them. I lost touch of Tom and Kathy a few times in my life nothing that needs to go into details but when I met and married Dale we had family reunions for our families that were great. The last 2 yrs when Tom told me he had cancer I realized life is short. He would redomly call me to talk, funny now I didn t think to call him my mistake - we did go to lunch - Kathy, Tom and me 2 yrs ago. He looked good. Fast forward to last week in Utah. My sister and I went to see him hoping he would be alert to know us. When we landed we went over to their place - we talked to him but he was not coherent. Jan and I left and slept, Kathy texted us in the early morning wow - Tom was drinking, awake and talking, Doesn’t God work in mysterious way! We got to spend that whole day watching our brother smile and nod at days past memories. What a blessing thank you. I will miss him, my big smart brother. When I look up at the stars I will say “hello” I love you but please Tom don t mess with Gods lightening do you promise? xxxooo

I just want you Kathy and your family to know of the good memories of the both of you coming to my home each month for family home evening and having a meal together. The many times when Tom came over to help me out with my computer problems and with the many blessings I received from him as both my Bishop, home teacher and best of all my friend.
