Timothy Joe Barnett's Obituary
Beloved son of John Hugh Barnett and Judy Rae Price, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, December 25th 2024.
Timothy was born on November 29th 1967 in Portland Oregon. He attended schools in Portland and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1986.
Tim loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and skydiving were his favorite. He loved the military. Everything related to martial arts and WWE wrestling. Tim had a passion for all types of weaponry and managed to obtain a vast collection. Tim loved the Green Bay Packers and on any given game day you would see him screaming at the TV, win or lose. Timothy had a very special bond with his uncle Calvin, and always looked forward to the times they got to spend together.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he held a calling to support the young men in our ward. Along that path he developed many unique and strong friendships, Rick Lynch., Reed Lunnen, Jim and Audrei Palmer, Stan Keifer and Vic Saunders, to name a few. Each had a special role in helping him understand and grow within the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Barnett. Sons Wesley and Brandon Barnett, Step-son Brandon Colombe. Step-daughters Robyn, Tara and Ronni Colombe. Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Bonnie, Isabel, Breylin, Avalynn, Marti Kae, Nakoda, Linkin and his precious little sister, Paula. Countless Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and brothers.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Brittany Rae Barnett, Parents John and Judy Barnett. Grandparents Russell and Myrtle Price and Grandparents Calvin and Maxine Barnett.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and dialysis teams that so lovingly cared for him over the last year. You were such a joy to be around and lifted our spirits more than you know. Thank you to the hospice staff who made the transition so effortlessly. Thank you to Allaina and Robert for bringing Paula to see Tim before he passed. We would like to acknowledge Tim's High School "brothers", Michael Osborn, Craig Tyska, Corey Pressgrove, and Michael Herrle. Thank you for always having his back.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
As I Sit in Heaven
As I sit in heaven
and watch you everyday
I try to let you know with signs
I never went away
I hear you when you're laughing
And watch you as you sleep.
I even place my arms around you
to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away
Begging to have me home
So I try to send you signs
so you know that you are not alone
Don't feel guilty that you have
Life to live that was denied to me
Heaven is truly beautiful
Just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again,
Enjoy yourself, be free.
Then I know with every breath you take
You'll be taking one for me.
