Timothy Shawn Olson's Obituary
Timothy Shawn Olson, 64, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, after complications of a stroke.
Tim was born to parents Julia and Oreon Olson on December 16, 1959, in Provo, UT. After graduating high school, Tim dabbled in many different careers and later married Kim Johnson (Evans). During their marriage, they had two children, Shawn and Jerrica. He worked hard to ensure they were cared for and felt loved every day.
In 2008, Tim retired from Pacific States Castiron Pipe Co. and spent his time gardening, woodworking, fishing, and driving around town in his truck. Tim wore many titles: son, brother, dad, grandpa, friend, first-responder, and perhaps the most well-known and beloved title, Santa Claus. He brought the joy of Christmas to so many children and families every time he put on his red suit.
Tim lived a simple life and loved spending time with his family and friends. His grandsons and children were his entire world.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Julia, and his dad, Oreon.
He is survived by his children T. Shawn (Katie Olson), Jerrica (Jeffrey Hancock), his siblings Sandra (Leon Bishop), Nick (Kathy Olson), Todd Olson, Sterling (Lori Olson), Jennifer (Wes Ward), Kurt Olson, and Annaliese Olson, and his grandsons Brody Olson and Leo Hancock.
Services will be held at the Benson Ward Building 275 S 1400 E, Spanish Fork, UT 84660, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Any donations towards the funeral expenses will be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers and can be made to Jerrica Hancock.
