Timothy Fallon Wills' Obituary
Timothy Fallon Wills, 31, passed away unexpectedly, of unknown causes, in his home in Taylorsville, UT, on November 22, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his father, David William King, his grandmother Charlotte Je'anene Wratten (Bruce) Beckett, and his aunt Julie Ann Burts.
He is survived by his mother Melissa (Stephen) Foster, siblings Jonah Ryan, Josh Wills, Jules Wills, Hayden (Vincent) Parker, and Thomas Woods, grandparents Cheryl Hudnall, Ed (Fern) Burts, and Debbie (Dennis) Langel, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him.
Tim graduated from Taylorsville High School in 2009. His first job was at the local grocery store down the street from his house. He worked a few restaurant and call center jobs then moved into industrial work which suited him much better, first in cabinet making, then working the warehouse at Arizona Tile for the past 4 years. He was a hard worker and was greatly respected by his bosses and co-workers.
He cared about helping to fight homelessness. He opened his home to roommates to whom he charged minimal rent, because he didn’t want to profit off of them, only to make sure he had enough to pay the mortgage. He also attended a monthly outreach where he would prepare food and other supplies and distribute them to people experiencing homelessness. He once commented how special he felt when someone he had served a few times had recognized him and told him they were glad to see him again. He also made it his goal to convince everyone to only buy the best cheeses for the sandwiches so they would be delicious to anyone who ate them. His favorite was Gouda.
His interests included a love of the pop culture of Anime, Pokemon, Star Wars, Adventure Time, and anything from Hot Topic. He loved to read, and some of his favorite authors were Stephen King, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan, and Piers Anthony. His favorite animals were dolphins. He loved to play Magic the Gathering at High Gear Hobby with his friends. He also had a love of music. He was a talented pianist, although he didn’t play much after his music lessons stopped. He listened to a wide variety of music genres from classical and Celtic to 80’s pop (his mother’s influence), to rap and hard rock. He also kept himself informed of current events and had strong political beliefs that he advocated for, especially equal rights for people of color and the LGBTQ+ community.
Tim had a difficult childhood and adolescence that had left him with many mental and physical health challenges , including depression and obesity. In the past few years, he overcame all of that and made tremendous growth in both his physical and mental health. He started eating right and exercising, and lost 200 pounds, while also totally transforming his outlook on life to one of kindness, generosity, and genuine happiness. He bought the house that he had lived in as a child and had started working on renovations to fix it up. He had recently received recognition and raises at work that he was very proud of. He had come to love himself, his new body, and his identity as a gay man and was exploring his outward expression with his ever-expanding fashion choices. He was living his best and happiest life. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
