Tina Salyer's Obituary
Tina Salyer, 70, of Midvale, Utah, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of October 31, 2025.
Tina was born on October 10, 1955, in Murray, Utah, to Ken and Thora Monahan. She grew up split between Murray, Utah, and Green River, Wyoming. From an early age, Tina learned that family isn’t just blood — it’s also the people you choose to love, cherish, and stand by.
Growing up in the ’70s, Tina’s free spirit shone brightly. She was a bit of a wild child — fearless, fun, and unafraid to be herself. That same determination carried through every chapter of her life. No matter what challenges she faced, she met them with courage and strength. She never gave up and never stopped focusing on what she could do, inspiring everyone around her with her resilience and optimism.
Tina was happiest outdoors. She loved camping with her family every year and looked forward to any chance to be outside. Over the years, she enjoyed everything from hiking, kayaking, and water-skiing to simply sitting around the campfire with the people she loved most. Whether it was setting up her little trailer or spending the day by the water, being outdoors with family was where she felt most at peace.
Tina was preceded in death by her siblings Carl Monahan and Sandy Monahan.
She is survived by her brother Rich Monahan; her beloved sons, whom she proudly called “her boys” — Kelly (Cynthia) Steadman, Justin (Sandy) Steadman, and Cody (Marcella Pereda) Salyer; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Utah Cancer Specialists. For their incredible care of Tina.
A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of Tina’s life at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Premier Funeral Services,
