Trevor Michael Naylor's Obituary
Trevor Michael Naylor was born on May 25th, 1987, in Provo, Utah and returned to his heavenly home November of 2023, at the age of 36. Trevor was the first child of Michael Naylor and Debbie Bertolina. He loved his two younger brothers from the day they were born and enjoyed the addition of his step-sister Kendall early in his life. Upon graduating from Springville High School, Trevor faithfully served a full time mission in Asunción, Paraguay. Trevor developed such a passion for the Spanish language on his mission that he later graduated from Utah Valley University with his Bachelor’s in Spanish which was one of his fondest accomplishments. As a participant in The Boy Scout’s of America program, Trevor reached the highest level of Eagle Scout and was honored to be a member of the Order of the Arrow. Trevor was a steadfast member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and found peace and joy in his faith and Temple service. Without fail, Trevor could be found in church on Sunday as well as participating in his favorite pastime – NFL Sundays. Trevor was an avid Denver Broncos and BYU fan and he enjoyed all sporting events, but more specifically football. When Trevor was younger, he would play sports with family and friends and his brothers have often been quoted saying, “Trevor has a great arm.” Along with playing sports Trevor enjoyed golfing with his grandpa, talking sports with his dad, watching movies with his mom, going out with his closest friends, listening to music, and he was the king of quotes from the television show The Office. Trevor was ecstatic to become the “Funcle” to three little rugrats and never missed an opportunity to wrestle, joke, or play games with them. Though Trevor battled many medical obstacles, he was an overly compassionate person and he never missed an opportunity to tell someone they were loved.
Trevor is survived by his mother Debbie Bertolina and her husband Stephen; his father, Michael Naylor and his wife Dana; his siblings Bryson Naylor and wife Kimmy, Jake Miller and partner Tori Bauer, and Kendall Rookey; his nephews Kellen and Parker Naylor; his niece Mackayla Naylor; and his grandfather Jay Naylor.
There will be a private service held for close family and friends and will be interred at the Provo City Cemetery. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to JDRF Diabetes Foundation on behalf of Trevor.
