Trudy Arlene Colton's Obituary
Trudy Arlene Colton, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024. She was surrounded by the love of her family as she departed for her heavenly home.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Roger, with whom she shared thirty-seven years of her life. She was a loving and caring sister to her brothers, Bill (and wife Judy), Jack (and wife Anne), Barry, Ed (and wife Karen), Kendall (and wife Cyndi), and her sister Gayleen. Trudy’s parents, Paul B. Warburton and Nina Lucille Keeler, her sister Joan, and her first husband, Royal Thornton, preceded her in death and are surely rejoicing in their reunion in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
A loving and devoted mother, Trudy leaves behind her children, Layne and Rolana Thornton, Travis and Julie Thornton, and her youngest son, Trent Thornton, who all carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength. Trudy’s life was further blessed by her stepchildren, many beloved grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and who brought her immense joy. She also cherished her close circle of friends and her book club, and she had a deep love for reading that enriched her life.
Trudy’s life was a testament to faith, family, and a generous spirit. She touched the lives of many with her gentle heart, warm smile, and enduring love. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Trudy's life will be held at her ward building (Lehi 48th), located at 650 E. 3200 N., Lehi, UT, this Friday, September 6, 2024. Her viewing begins at 10:00 a.m., with services following at 11 am, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the truly remarkable woman she was. The procession to the cemetery in Fillmore will follow.
Flowers can be ordered from Wright’s Florist and sent to the church.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and grace of our Heavenly Father.
