Trudy Aleen Gortat's Obituary
Trudy Aleen Gortat, 51, of Midvale, UT., unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, September 6th, 2014.
Born on April 15, 1963, Trudy celebrated life with her whole heart! Her terrific sense of humor and loving and caring ways touched all who knew her. She loved working in the outdoors landscaping, gardening, improving and beautifying nature all around her. She enjoyed spending time loving and caring for her beloved cats: Cindy Lou, Baby, Tiny and many others. She graduated from Viewmont High School in 1981 and joined the Army shortly thereafter. Her dedication and service in the military are a great example of her diligence in life.
She is survived by her mother, Norma Jacobs Zemlicka, her brothers: Duane Hatch (Tamara) and Troy Gortat, sister in law Kristeen Nielson and three Nephews: Kadin Hatch, Tykie and Kael Gortat. Her aunts, uncles, and her grandmother Aleen Gortat, along with many close friends who she considered family: Rochelle Quinney and Julie (Face) to name a few.
The family will celebrate her life beginning with a viewing on Friday September 12, 2014 from 10:15 until 10:45 at Premier Funeral located at 7043 Commerce Park Drive in Midvale. Graveside services will commence following the viewing at the Midvale City Cemetery at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations. Please join us to celebrate and honor her at this time, as she will be greatly missed!
