Vernal was my brother in law. We used to have barbecues and play volleyball, he was a sore loser, we would play Rummy, bumper pool he would get upset when he lost. Vernal would make pancakes and put peanut butter, cream it was good. There was a house up the street from us and it had caught on fire so Vernal and his brother Virgil ran up to the house yelling they started the fire. He was a good person he will be missed.
