Vicky Lynn Jones Argyle's Obituary
Vicky Lynn Jones Argyle passed away May 3, 2025, in Orem, Utah. She was born on December 24, 1943, in Brigham City, Utah to Victor Wyatt Jones and Zina LaVelle Oliver. She married Philip W. Argyle June 8, 1970, in Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple.
Vicky lived a life of service and dedication to her family and to her fellow man. She spent her formative years in Murray, Utah as the oldest of eight siblings. In her youth, she spent much time tending to her siblings and babysitting for other families. After graduating from Granite High School, she obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and went on to serve an LDS mission to Ontario, Canada. She met her husband Philip Argyle after returning from her mission, they were married in June 1970. Over the years, Vicky held multiple LDS church callings, raised five children, owned and operated a business, and lived her life in pursuit of knowledge and spiritual growth. Vicky loved to learn and studied a variety of different subjects throughout her life, from constitution and government to religion and spirituality, she was a lifelong learner and student of truth. She was a vibrant soul, steadfast in her beliefs, who chose to serve the Lord in all her days. She was a diligent worker, never shirking a duty, striving to uplift and to serve. She never met a stranger and had friends everywhere she went. She was a blessing to us all and she is sorely missed.
Survived by children Natalie (Jay) Zabriskie; Mary (Scott) Argyle; Pamela (Chadley) Blackhurst; Tracy (Chris) Argyle; Victor Argyle; siblings Sharon (F. Merril) Warnick; Victor “Kenneth” Jones; Dennis (Wendy) Jones; Janet (Rodney) McCarrel; Douglas (Lori) Jones; Susan Jones; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents Victor and LaVelle; husband, Philip; and brother Joseph “Jeffery” Jones.
Funeral Service: Friday May 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at the LDS Church located at
105 W 1800 N Pleasant Grove, Utah, luncheon to follow.
Interment will be with her husband, Philip, at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park, Bluffdale Utah.
