Victrina "Vicki" Janet Olsen Jensen's Obituary
Victrina Janet Olsen Jensen, 81, peacefully passed away Friday January 27, 2023 in her home with her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Lyle Jensen and family by her side.
Vicki was born in 1942 in Basin, WY to Lydia Althea (Dustin) and Delbert M Olsen. She was raised in Lovell, WY with her 6 older siblings and is survived by her sister Ina Olsen Snell. Vicki graduated from Lovell High in 1960 and attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City UT. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenny, in April 1962 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Within a week of moving to California, Vicki landed a job as WoolWorth's credit manager making 10 cents more per hour then her husband. As they raised their family, first in Chico and then Denair, she continued to work a myriad of jobs. The fall of 2021 they moved to Utah. She is a mother of 7 children: Karen (Russ Litke), Traci (Wil Osborn), Minda (Chad Renshaw), Paul (Stacy Onines), Jamie, Dayna (Brandon Cahoon), Ben. Her 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren lovingly call her Nama.
Vicki was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings; her favorites being with the Primary children. She will be remembered by those who love her as an amazing seamstress who meticulously tended her garden, loved long walks, and dancing the jitterbug with her husband.
With grace, Vicki dealt with chronic health issues, which never stopped her from serving and loving everyone. She set a selfless example for how to include, love and cherish others.
A special thank you to the dedicated staff of Canyon Home Care Hospice for their kindness and gentle care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
All are invited to a memorial celebration this July during Pioneer Day weekend in Sandy UT. Please refer to Premier Funeral Services premierfuneral.com for further information and where memories, fond stories and photos can be shared.
