Vikki Lynn Morales' Obituary
Vikki Lynn (Thatcher) Morales:
Our beloved mother, wife (women), grandmother, sister and friend retuned home to our Father in Heaven on June 14, 2017. She was welcomed home by grandpa and grandma Bascom and her sister Val. She was born in Orem, Utah to Donald (Peggy) Thatcher. She is survived by husband Byron Morales and four children Derek (Kaysie) Thatcher, Karen (Ricardo) Guzman, Amber (Jared) Pedersen, Angel (Trevor)(Robert) Morales, also her 21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also survived by her beloved sister’s Deb (Randy) Charon and Jayne (Larry) Farley as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by Sterling (Dora) Bascom and Valerie Vickery.
Mom lived her younger years in Orem, Utah with her grandparents and 3 sisters. She was quite the rebel and always adventurous. She loved camping and the outdoors. She was a hardworking single mother of 3 until she met the love of her life in the summer of 1984, while she was a waitress at Denny’s. She finally started living her dream of having a family. In January of 1987 her fourth child was welcomed. Mom and Dad bought their first home in the summer of 1995, where they raised their four children. Life was full of happiness and chaos raising four kids, however mom and dad did a fantastic job. Mom may have had her up’s and down’s but she was an amazingly strong woman. Mom is the heart and soul of our family! Mom was an amazing grandmother, she cared for her grandchildren, loved and shared a special bond with each one of them, she truly loved her grandchildren unconditionally. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she told the best stories. She liked horror movies, Stephen King and VC Andrew novels. A country girl at heart, her favorite artists were Reba and Garth Brooks. Mom was the most loving, caring, and stubborn women you could have ever met. Our mother will be greatly missed by everyone that loved and cared for her.
Celebration of Life will be held at her sister Jayne Farley’s home at 971 East 200 South, Orem, UT 84097 on June 24, 2017 @ 6:00 pm.
