Virginia Kirkman Martinez's Obituary
Virginia Kirkman Martinez, known as Ginny to those she loved, entered this world on June 23, 1942, and slipped peacefully away on the early morning of June 27, 2017; surrounded by loved ones in death, as in life.
Ginny was born to proud parents Herbert and Myrtle Kirkman. She was raised in her Clinton, UT family home along with three brothers and 4 sisters. She served her community proudly and was recognized by many humanitarian and news outlets for her devotion. She worked hard for 30 years before retiring. Outside of her career, she served her true calling as the world’s best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Seeing her children would bring a smile to her face so bright and beautiful, it could light the entire room. Ginny was well known for her compassion, loyalty, and devotion. She would never give up on anyone, even if they gave up on her and themselves. Ginny also loved to knit, crochet, sew, and most of all, embroider.
In 1959 she married Standring L. Inwood and with him had one child. They were later divorced. In 1965 she Harold James Hagen, they later divorced. In 1987 she married Joe R. Martinez and they stayed by each other’s side until his passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Don Kirkman, Albert Kirkman, and Hurbert Kirkman; her sisters, Marie Kirkman, Ida Kirkman, Ruth Kirkman, and Peggy Kirkman; her husband Joe, and her beloved dog Muffy.

The world is a colder place without Virginia in it. But the bright and beautiful days will always be a reminder of her smile and her unconditional love.
