Virginia Bessie Sheldon Price
Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away October 17, 2015 when her loving heart finally stopped. She was born April 4, 1936 to Albert Sheldon and Afton Platt Sheldon. She was born with a congenital heart defect, and was an early recipient of open heart surgery as a young adult. She grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught first grade most of her adult life, teaching many hundreds of children to read. She met her sweetheart Edward Gabriel Price while they were teenagers. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 10, 1955. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed serving in the temple for many years.
She is preceded in death by her sweetheart Edward. She is survived by her children Kathleen (Neil) Ostler-Slade, Douglas (Marcia) Price, Cheryl Suggs, Mary (Aaron) Bryan, Sterling Price, Jennifer Morrey, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her identical, but slightly younger, twin sister Patricia Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at the Midvalley 4th Ward, 1106 E. 8050 So. (Old Dairy Road), Sandy, Utah on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00 am, where a viewing will be held prior to the services at 9:45-10:45 am. Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah.
