Virginia Johnson Sharp's Obituary
On September 29, 2022 our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Virginia Johnson Sharp, age 72, transitioned from her life on this earth to continue her journey with our heavenly father and family above. During her departure she was surrounded by loved ones.
Virginia was born May 31, 1950 at the Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield, Utah. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, Class of 1968.
Virginia was gifted by God with eight beautiful children. She spent a lifetime trying to do what she could to help provide and care for them. She enjoyed crafting, which included embroidering, sewing, and knitting. She was also known for her beautiful singing voice and her ability to cook in the kitchen. She loved writing poetry as well. Her talents were many.
Her time on this earth proved to be challenging. She carried many burdens, which included a variety of health problems. Though she faced many trials, she managed to keep her quirky, contagious sense of humor. Laughter often followed her wherever she went. She held many jobs throughout her life. Beehive Clothing was where she found a career that she worked for most of her adult life. She also worked with disabled adults as she approached retirement. She cared very much about helping take care of others. Her faith in God guided her journey, and assisted her though this life’s challenges. Throughout her years she was surrounded by close family and friends that loved her unconditionally.
Virginia is survived by her seven sons: David (Terra) Sharp of Forest Grove, Oregon; Joel (Melissa) Sharp of Farmington, New Mexico; Jared (Jessica) Sharp, Tony (Stephanie) Sharp, all of Elko, Nevada; Brad (Lacy) Sharp of Richfield, Utah; Clint (Bryan) Tye of Salt Lake City, Utah; Darren (Joey) Sharp of Flora Vista, New Mexico; 44 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister: Connie Sellheim of Las Vegas, Nevada and her brother: Marlon (Jeniece) Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah.
