Vivian DeNae Schaefermeyer's Obituary
Vivian DeNae Schaefermeyer of Kaysville, Utah passed away on Friday June 13, 2025 peacefully at her home surrounded by family. DeNae was born June 21,1939 to J.Newell and Vivian W. Price in Salt Lake City,UT She was the oldest of 5 children and a great help to her Mom. She attended school in SLC,UT, graduating from South High School She married Kendall B. Schaefermeyer on June 25,1959 in the Salt Lake Temple They built a home in Bountiful, and then settled in Kaysville near family. She loved her Bountiful neighbors dearly and still stayed in touch with them. She missed her Bountiful home. DeNae also attended Beauty College in Salt Lake City, UT and loved doing hair. She was an excellent homemaker, and a wonderful cook. They have 4 daughters, 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren who loved their Nae Nae, and will miss her so much. DeNae was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held numerous callings and was always willing to serve where needed. She and Ken also served as Temple Officiators in the Bountiful Temple for 6 years. She loved to sew and made beautiful dresses for her Daughters, with matching Jammie’s and blankets for their dolls was just one of her favorite and many talents. She loved Holidays & went All Out decorating & dressing up. DeNae loved spending Christmas at Disneyland with Ken and her girls. And she loved playing with her grandkids and especially her great grandchildren. A special treat was to go with Nae Nae to get a corn dog and play at the park. She also loved Robintinos & Casa Melinda’s. She enjoyed going out to the mine in Roosevelt, UT with Ken and the family for the summer, although she hated the wind and dirt, hated the motorcycles, she loved the family time. She and Ken would go on trips with the KBYU semi and she absolutely adored him, and loved traveling with him in the BYU Sound Truck. She was afraid of water and couldn’t swim, but when we could get her on the boat she had a blast, as long as you didn’t mess up her hair. She loved the Hallmark channel and even after she lost her vision. She could watch the recording and know exactly what was on the screen because she had watched them over and over. DeNae was very friendly and kind to others She expressed her Love for the Lord as she served Him willingly. DeNae is survived by her loving Husband of 66 years, Ken Schaefermeyer of Kaysville, Her 4 daughters, Keliann (Larry) Crockett of Clearfield, Kristin Bosh of Layton, Kendra (Kris) Stevenson of Layton and Katiann Schaefermeyer of Kaysville. 10 Grandchildren, Tiffani Myers, Kevin Lindsay, Christian Kasyan, Jace Kasyan, Makai Kasyan, Kaili (Zack) Gines, Jazzy Stevenson, Aubrianna (Judd) Stanger, and 5 Great Grandchildren, Rylee Kellos, Cash and Charlie Stanger, Hallie and Griffin Gines. She is also survived by her brothers John D. (Marie) Price, Earl D. (Sheila) Price, Marilyn Lems, and Kathie (Leland) Tomlinson. She was preceded in death by her father, J. Newell Price, her mother Vivian Whitehead Price, her father in law Neal Schaefermeyer and mother in law Emma Lovell Schaefermeyer who eagerly greeted her on the other side. The family would like to thank everyone who have been so kind to us at this time. Friends and family, we really appreciate everything you have done for us, especially for our sweet mom. A special thank you to Katiann Schaefermeyer for making it possible for her to come home, and Makai Kasyan for her help and loving care in her final hours. We love you mom. Families are Forever
