Wacey Lane Ekenstam, 35, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away on October 30, 2025
Born on November 12, 1989 in Salt Lake City, UT to Robin Patterson and James Ekenstam. He welcomed his first child Kori in 2007 and his second child Shaun in 2009. Throughout the years he worked many different jobs from Subway to tree trimming and commercial roofing. Anything he did he excelled at, no matter what it was. As he got older, he started going down different paths which lead him away from his family, life, and work.
Wacey was smart, funny, and kind. He had a lot of different hobbies but loved to draw the most. He jumped around doing so many things that it was hard to keep up with what he loved doing most. He was good at anything he tried to do.
He is survived by his mother, Robin Patterson, his father, James Ekenstam, his sisters, Rechelle Muniz (Anthony) and Rylee Garfield (Christian), his brother, Logan Patterson, his daughter, Kori, his son, Shaun, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wacey is gone way too soon and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
