Wallace Hixon's Obituary
Wallace Hixon was born on July 28th, 1942, in Seattle, Washington to Florence Isabel Barnes and George Robert Hixon. He passed away on Wednesday June 12th 2024 in his home in Sandy, Utah.
Wally was a man of few words but someone who showed his love for his family day in and day out by being a constant in everyone's life. He showed up for birthdays, holidays, vacations and family dinners consistently, soaking in the smiles and laughter with a smile on his face. He was unwaveringly loyal to his wife of 60 years, Sherry. They were inseparable through their entire marriage, and everyone saw the love radiating between them, they had a special bond that was palpable to everyone who knew them. They had three children, Telena, Wally Jr., and Jeff. They had 9 grandchildren, Megan, Scott, Hailey, Ashley, Brittany, Chelsee, Bailey, Tayler, and Everett along with two bonus grandchildren McKenzie and Lexie.
He worked as an auto mechanic for many years and passed on that knowledge to his sons. Wally was loyal, kind, humble, and always seemed happy to be doing life with the people he loved, whether that was going on a cruise with the family or sitting in the backwyard barbecuing on summer days. He had a love for dogs that he passed onto his grandkids.
He will be missed by his family and friends, remembered as a man who was happy to be here. He is survived by his wife Sherry Hixon, his 3 children, Telena Hixon Robinson, Wallace A Hixon Jr and Jeff L Hixon. His sisters Wanda Ostrander and Janet-Hixon Werner and his grandchildren Megan, Scott, Hailey, Ashley, Brittany, Chelsee, Bailey, Tayler and Everett.
