Walter was taken from us unexpectedly and we truly mourn his loss and the tragedy of his early death. But we also acknowledge our faith and belief that Walter’s spirit resides in peace and love in the presence of those who have gone on into the next life before him. Walter is now surrounded in the arms of the love and redemption of his Savior, and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Until the time we see him again, we will all miss his kind and thoughtful nature, the sound of his laugh, his clever sense of humor and the smile on his face. We move forward now in our own lives with our shared and individual memories of Waltercito.
We will remember the good times and the good person Walter had become. Walter was courteous and kind and we will remember how he would run ahead to open the door and how he helped in the kitchen.
Walter was athletic and loved to hike, climb, snowshoe and ride his skateboard. He loved being out in nature and enjoyed planting trees as a volunteer with @TREEUTAH in the mountains, cleaning up the trails he hiked on and chatting it up with the many friends he met on the trail.
Walter enjoyed a challenge and loved to climb many of the prominent peaks in Utah and Salt Lake County - including Pfeifferhorn and Mount Timpanogos and Sunrise.
Walter was artistic with a hand for sketching cartoon characters and an eye for collecting Pokemon cards.
We all wish we could have one more hug, go on one more hike, catch one more fish, play one more game and laugh one more time with our Son, brother and friend, Waltercito.
