Wanda Jeanne Soder's Obituary
In loving memory of Wanda Jeanne Soder, born February 12th, 1954 in Sacramento, California, who passed peacefully in her sleep on May 2nd, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents: George Melvin Lee Jones, Sr. and Dolores Belle (Manuel "Ross") Rose; siblings Sharon (Bruce) Borton, Lee Jones, and Johnny Rose, she is survived by her sister Patty Baldwin; daughter Christina (James) Dunn; grandchildren Shaunathin and Shea Dunn; one great-grandchild Rose Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.
Wanda lived to be in the thick of things. She loved people and enjoyed being sociable with her many friends and family. She spent much of her time alone writing letters to family and crafting of all types-especially crochet. She loved doing puzzles-particularly Thomas Kinkaid- and spending time in nature. Wanda loved animals and had three very special companions of the furry variety that she missed dearly- two cats, Callie and Sammie, and a dog, Oreo, who saved her life.
Wanda liked to mother all those she cared about- one way she showed this was by canning for her neighbors. She lived in many different states during her life and loved traveling. Her favorite trips were always cruising down to the Bahamas. Her faith was always important to her, and among the many callings she had, one of her favorites was as a Sunday School Teacher to the 8-9 year olds of her ward. She loved being able to share her faith with her kinds and see them grown.
Wanda had a lunch that made you wanna join in and a smile that made you feel special. She had a wonder sense of humor and loved being able to cheer her loved ones up when they were down. We miss her.
Graveside services will be held for family only in Delta Cemetery.
