Wayne Lee Burr's Obituary
Wayne passed away unexpectedly at home early morning on July 9 th . He was born an identical
twin in Murray, Utah on January 5, 1965 to Ronald and Peggie Burr. He was the youngest of 4
boys.
His youth days were spent creating mischief on Scott Avenue, enjoying all kinds of sports and
games with his brothers and neighborhood friends. Wayne graduated from Granite High school
in 1983. He joined the wrestling team which he enjoyed immensely.
As a young boy his father taught him how to thrive in the outdoors. As an adult he continued to
enjoy his outdoor hobbies of fishing, camping, boating, four wheeling, and hunting
He participated in several sports leagues. He played softball in a coed and men’s league. On
Saturday nights, he bowled in a league with family and friends. He also spent many years
throwing darts competitively.
Wayne was married for several years and during that time, he had two wonderful children,
David and Jana. He spent many summer days with his family going to the park, Lagoon, and all
their favorite camping spots.
Wayne worked many years for a variety of different companies exploring different skills (driving
forklifts, painting, landscaping, delivery driving, and more). The past few years, his greatest joys
were tending his great nieces and nephews, fishing with his brothers and being a kind
companion to his endearing mother.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents- Wallace and Lilace Worthen, June and Irene
Burr, father – Ronald Burr, uncles–Spencer Worthen, Alan Burr, and aunts- Carol Worthen,
Joanne Lovendahl.
He is survived by his mother – Peggie Burr, children- David Burr (Briana) and Jana Boydston
(Alec), grandchild- Alex Burr, brothers- Martin Burr, Ricky Burr (Kristy), Blaine Burr,
nieces/nephews- Christopher Vaughn (Beca), Jesse Dyer (Matt), Destiny Robles (David), and
great nieces/nephews-Aria, Noah, Landon, Sienna and Eden, and many amazing family and
friends.
A celebration of life will be held in Wayne’s honor. For more information please contact the Burr
