Welton Dale Howell's Obituary
Welton Dale Howell was born on January 27, 1945 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Pawnee Gay and Mack Pool. He served six years in the Army stationed in Germany. After his Army service he moved to Utah where he married Monica and had two children. He graduated from Weber State College in 1975 with an art degree and was the first person in his family of Scottish and Irish immigrants to graduate from college. He was married a second time to Annette, who continues to be an important part of his kids’ lives. He is survived by his two children: David (Shellece) and Buck (Mariana), seven grandchildren: Connor, Charlie, Zoë, Garrett, Kedric, Thomás, and Lucas, and three great-grandchildren: Finn, Maisey, and Wesley, whom he loved more than anything. He also loved fishing, camping, hunting, epic Wasatch sunsets, a solid pair of cowboy boots, painting, playing poker, and taking drives through the mountains in a good sports car. He was a voracious reader, a talented artist, a creative thinker, and a lover of strays - cats, dogs, and people, and he will be dearly missed. The family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Humane Society of Northern Utah.
