William Lee Adams' Obituary
William Lee Adams
Born March 29, 1944, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022. From Fruit Heights, Utah.
He was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A US Navy veteran; he will be remembered by those who loved him for his love of family, his wit and sense of humor, and his good nature. He was always the person to ask for advice, or turn to for comfort during life’s twists and turns. He was never more proud than when he was surrounded by his kids.
Bill was especially known for having a brilliant mechanical mind. He owned several automotive shops including John and Bill's Transmission and Century Automotive and was known by family and close friends for his love of all things Chrysler. He was a well-known name and face to car enthusiasts and car shows big and small. His 1962 Chrysler 300 convertible and 1939 Chrysler Coupe were his prized jewels. He instilled a love for all the classics in all of his children, but especially in his boys. Bill was a founding member, 2nd president, and chief judge of the international Chrysler club. He assisted with many Concours d'elegance shows, and Mopars at the strip.
Bill is survived by his former wife, Althea Adams; and his seven children: Maryanne (Micheal) Gustafson, Bill Jr. (Josette), Andrew (Shannon) (Dianna), Timothy (Erica), Laura, Jesse (Shiloh), and Johanna (Drew) Coy; his many grandchildren: Jessica (Aaron) Durrant, Ryan (ChantaLei), Leesa, Miranda, Emma, and Cameron Gustafson, Luke and Kassidy Adams, Cole Adams, Jorden, Tanner, and Krista Adams, Carli, Carter, and Ellie Adams, Karson and Danielle Coy, as well as his great-grandchildren: Ashtyn, Lilly, and Caleb Durrant.
He will be deeply missed, his memory cherished by his family and closest friends. His legacy carried on by and through his kids.
Memory celebrations will be held in his honor in Utah, Nevada (Las Vegas) and California. If you would like to attend please reach out to a family member for details.
