William Fenton Booth's Obituary
William Fenton Booth passed away Dec 11, 2014 of congestive heart failure. Bill was born April 21, 1929 at home to Corris Booth and Ethel May Josephine Langfitt Booth in Sarona Wisconsin. He was the ninth child of 10 children. Bill grew up on a farm where he worked hard with his eight brothers. Bill had a older sister but she died as a baby. As young man he moved to Clinton Iowa where he joined the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint with two of his brothers Everett and Lewis Booth.
While in Clinton he began his career in auto mechanics. He continued in this career until he retired. He then worked part time at the Utah State Penitentiary teaching auto mechanics to the inmates. After joining the church he met and fell in love with his eternal sweetheart Carolyn Joyce Byrant. They were married on October 6, 1955. After they married they lived in Davenport Iowa where they had their first two children. He was invited by his brother Everett to Utah where they owned and operated the old Sinclair gas station on 800 North in Orem. Later they were joined by their brother Lewis where they work together running the station.
While living in Orem they had four more children. In 1967 they moved to California where Bill worked as an auto mechanic for four years. They then move back to Utah in West Valley where two more children were born. Bill was a devoted member of the church and serviced in many church callings including serving in the Odgen LDS temple. Bill faithfully attended the temple once a week up until four week ago when his health began to deteriorate.
He loved music, played the guitar and enjoyed singing. Bill was a people person who enjoyed meeting people and making new friends. His was a kind person who never thought ill of anyone. He loved his family and especially is dear wife who proceeded him in death in 2002. Bill was the last member of his family to pass away.
He is survived by his children. William David (Connie) Booth, Susan Elizabeth (Larson) Holyoak, Dawn Mann, Daniel Bryant (Mary) Booth, Maryan Caroline (Mark) Citton, Lisa Dorthy Gonzales, Kristie Lee, Booth, 21 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Joyce Booth, a son Nathan Weldon Booth, and a grandson Michael Booth.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday December 17th at 11:00am at the Lindon Central Stake Center, 56 East 600 North in Lindon Utah with a viewing before the services from 9:30 to 10:45 am.
