William Heyborne Corry's Obituary
Husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend are the names we know for William (Bill) Heyborne Corry. Bill passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12th surrounded by his family. He was well-loved by each of us!
Bill was born on May 28, 1932, in Delta, Millard County, Utah. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 through 1955. Bill married Bonita (Bonnie) Nielson on July 7, 1954, in Nephi, Utah. Together they raised three children: William Niel Corry, Bonnie Jean Corry, and Robert H. Corry.
After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Bill worked for General Electric in the Customer Service department. He was given many awards for recognition while working for GE. He was later asked to serve as the local American Legion Commander for 10 years.
Bill was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings including two ward bishoprics and as bishop.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary H. Corry. His living family members are wife, Bonnie; Gary's wife, Virginia; his brothers Dixon H. Corry (Joyce), James Corry (Karla), and his sisters Janice Dunn (Rex), and Delma Black (Travis). He is survived by his children William Niel Corry (Teresa); Bonnie Jean Corry and Robert H. Corry (Cecilia) as well. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who adored him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday July 23, 2022 at the LDS Chapel, 235 East 550 North ~ Springville, Utah with a viewing to begin at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East ~ Orem, Utah.
