William LeRoy Deimler Jr's Obituary
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, William LeRoy Deimler Jr. passed away in Springville, Utah. He was 93 years old. He left this earthly existence the same way he lived his life, with courage, with faith in Jesus Christ and with a great love for his family and friends.
Bill was born in Lower Swatara Township, Pennsylvania on August 27, 1932, to William and Emma Deimler. He was married on December 25, 1953, to Ella Marie Walter of Baltimore, Maryland. Bill grew up on the family farm in Middletown, PA. He often talked about cultivating the tomatoes with a mule. Bill graduated from Hershey High School with a certificate in electronics and later graduated from the RCA Technical Institute in New York City, NY with a two-year degree in Applications to Electronics.
After working for Martin Marrietta, American Aerospace, Defense, and Technology company he was drafted into the Army on July 19, 1954, during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged June 18, 1956. In 1956 Bill and Marie moved to New Mexico to work for Ampex Corporation at White Sands Missile Range in Alamogordo, New Mexico where he worked until retirement. They lived and raised a family in that area for 64 years, most of it in their home in Tularosa, New Mexico. In 2020 they moved to Utah to be closer to family.
Bill is survived by his brother, Tom Deimler of Georgia, his sister, Peggy Weimer of Wisconsin, four children and their spouses: Yvonne (Jim) Popham of Arkansas, William L (Kathy) Deimler of Utah, Pam (Len) Catanach of Texas, and Glenn (Sandy) Deimler of Alabama, 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Bill had a love for farming and loved the two-acre farm where he lived for 64 years. He always had a huge garden along with the pecan orchard and later farmed 80 acres of alfalfa hay. The farm is a memory the whole family shared as each child had an opportunity to work alongside their father. If work was a person, it would be Bill Deimler. He never met a problem he couldn’t figure out or a job he couldn’t finish. That trait was hammered into each of his children.
The services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints Chapel located at 878 West Center Street in Springville, Utah 84663. The viewing will be held 9:45 am to 10:45 am prior to the services. The services will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 East 400 South, Springville, Utah.
