William Noble Hunsaker's Obituary
William Noble Hunsaker, 69, passed away January 13, 2012.
He was born September 24, 1942, in Brigham City, Utah to Franklyn Carter and Arliss Bradbury Hunsaker. Dad grew up in Corinne and attended local schools, including Box Elder High School, earned a bachelor of science degree in history with minors in psychology and mathematics with a teaching certificate from Brigham Young University. He was called as a missionary for the LDS Church serving in the New England Mission under President Truman G. Madsen. On September 8, 1966 he married his eternal companion originally from Finland, Heli Tellervo Tammisto, in the Los Angeles Temple. He cherished his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as Bishop, in the High Council, as Stake Mission President, Ward Mission Leader, Young Men's President, Elder's Quorum President, in the Stake Sunday School presidency and as Stake Executive Secretary. He taught seminary for a short time in Bountiful and was a schoolteacher at North Davis Junior High. He also ran his own business as a painting contractor for 30 years. Dad loved to fish and hunt. He also loved camping with his family. He loved to take rides on his ATVs. He loved reading. Among his favorite authors are Max Brand and Louis L'Amour. He thoroughly enjoyed science-fiction movies as well as studying history in general. He is survived by his wife Heli, sons: Ari Noble (Rochelle) Henefer, Kari Noble (Mary) Hyde Park, William Vihtori (Christine) Tooele. Daughters: Kristi Linford, Kaija Martinez (Jon), Anneli Brandt (Seth) all of Clearfield, 21 grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are his brothers: Gary (Madeline), Franklyn (Nita), Kurt (Judy), Charles, Scott (Allison), Eric (Marci), Greg (Carol), including several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding him in death, his sister Candace Hoover (Gary), and both parents.
Funeral service will be on Friday January 20th, 2012 at 11:30 am with Bishop John Stark officiating. Viewing prior to service 9:30 am. - 11:00 am at Clearfield 11th Ward building: 1245 S 1175 E, Clearfield. Interment West Point Cemetery.
