William "Bill" S. Miller's Obituary
William “Bill” Starr Miller, 80, passed away on December 15, 2024. Bill will be remembered as a loving, funny, and incredibly supportive grandpa, known as “Pop.” He was born on October 11, 1944, in South Carolina to Edward and Elizabeth “Betty” Miller. Growing up in a military family, he lived in many places, with Alaska being his favorite. Bill served his country as a Marine and later in the Air Force Reserves. His career continued with the U.S. government, where he worked at Hill Air Force Base and later in Okinawa, Japan, before retiring in Utah.
Bill enjoyed golfing and camping throughout Utah with friends and family. He also loved going to the gun range or the dessert for target practice, tinkering in his garage, exploring technology, and savoring his daily cups of coffee. Known for his creative sense of humor, he encouraged tomfoolery with his grandchildren, leaving them with cherished memories.
Bill is survived by his wife, Shirlene Miller; his stepmom, Shirley Miller; his siblings, twin Edward Miller (Tracey), Chris Miller (Janice), and Georgia Lund (Rick Lund -deceased); his children, Kathryn Bodrero (Jody) and Justin Miller (Melissa); his three wonderful grandchildren, Jexton, William “Will,” and Grace; and his 23 nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, no services will be held.
