William N. Spainhower's Obituary
William N. Spainhower (Bill) passed away surrounded by family on May 29th, 2024. Bill was born March 6, 1939, to William E. And Ila Spainhower and has spent most of his life in American Fork.
Bill married the love of his life Patricia Pierson in 1961. Together they raised David (Tori) Tod (Cindy) and Teri Kim. Bill and Pat were best friends and loved the time they spent together in American Fork Canyon and Lake Powell. Pat passed away in 2014 and thankfully his good friend Dennis Williams would pick him up and they spent many days on the golf course. Bill was a punter for the American Fork Cavemen and was known as Lump. Bill served in the Navy and spent many years working at General Refractories in Lehi where he made many lifelong friends. The last few years Bill has loved watching BYU and the Utah Jazz with Dave usually turned up loud enough that everyone on 900 East could hear it. Teri Kim made sure that he had his favorite meals and fresh tomatoes from her garden.
Bill was a jokester and a teaser and loved to make people laugh. He was a great husband, friend, dad and Grampa. The family will miss him cooking breakfast and the traditional doplagreta every Christmas morning.
Bill was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Pat, his sisters Janice Spainhower Adamson and Susan Spainhower Hansen, son Tod and grandsons Jake and Taylor.
The family would like to give a special thank you to his Dr and friend Doug Mower and to Melanie Bernhard for organizing his pills and making sure that his TV worked
There will be a Celebration of Life Saturday June 1st at 5:00 pm at Moyle Park, 600 E. 770 N. Alpine, Utah
