Yasuo Shiotani

Yasuo Shiotani passed away November 11, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. Born in Brigham City, Utah to Masao and Michiko Shiotani, he had four brothers, Michio (Kazuko), Tatsumi, Shiro (Junnie), Glen (Uta) and two sisters, Masako (Roy), Kiniko (Monte). As the oldest he moved to Japan at a young age with his sister, Masako and cousin Haruwa. Some of his fondest memories were of his time growing up in Japan. After returning to Utah he graduated from Box Elder High School. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force in 1959. For 4 years he was able to travel and learn mechanical skills during his service. He married Nora Sherwood and together they had three children, Kevin, Tonya (Dave) and Ramie. He was a great provider throughout his life. He and his brothers owned Shio Brothers where the family spent time together for over 40 years. Through all his successes, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandkids, family, and friends.
A gathering will be held in his honor on November 23, 2019 from 5-8pm located at:
