Zachary Waine Ivie

Zachary Waine Ivie, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2025, just two days before his 42nd birthday. Born on August 25, 1983, Zach lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to the people who mattered most to him. Zach graduated from Woods Cross High School and went on to dedicate much of his career to soccer retail, working for Scoreboard Sports and Team Gear. Most recently, he worked for Kindercare/Champions Child Care. Known for his strong work ethic and kind nature, Zach touched many lives both personally and professionally. Zach held a lifelong passion for soccer, but above all else, his greatest pride & joy was his family. His children were the very center of his world, and his love for them was felt in every moment they shared. Zach met the love of his life, Liz, In January of 2016 and their love story blossomed quickly. Engaged on July 7, 2017, and married on August 17, 2018. Together, they built a beautiful, blended family filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Liz Ivie, and his cherished children: Kristopher Batwinas, Bailey Ivie, Aiden Ivie, and Everly Ivie. He is also survived by his siblings Jennifer Deml (Ben), Anthony Oyler, Nick Oyler, Hillary Ivie (Paul Shade), Gentry Davis (Jake), and Tanner Oyler; his father, Dave Oyler, and stepmother, Tina Oyler. Zach’s memory will also live on in the hearts of countless extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. Zach was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Angela Ivie, with whom he now rests in peace. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 4th from 4 p.m.–6 p.m. at Steep Mountain Park, 364 E. Steep Mountain Dr., Draper, UT 84020.
