Arlene May Bartlett's Obituary
On February 1, 2023, Arlene May Cannon Bartlett, our beloved mother, passed away at home in South Jordan, Utah. She was 71 years old and was born on June 19, 1951 in Salt Lake City Utah.
Arlene earned a degree in early Child Development from CSUF. She married Steven S Bartlett on April 26, 1975 in Los Angeles California and lived most of her life in southern California. They adopted 10 children and cared for hundreds of foster children. Arlene also owned 3 daycare centers. They moved to South Jordan, Utah in 2009.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Cannon and Merriam Hamilton; her siblings, Roger Cannon, Ron Cannon, Brent Cannon, Frank Cannon, Trudy McCune, and Pat Erickson; and her son, Scott Leighton Bartlett.
Arlene is survived by her husband Steven Scott Bartlett, and her children: Brian Michael Bartlett, Tonya Lynn Cooper, Daniel Joseph Bartlett, Jenessa Renee Barnard, Jennifer Nicole King, Timothy Matthew Bartlett, Taylor Edward Bartlett, Taniya Noelle Bartlett, and Davin Martin Bartlett. She has 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Her legacy of caring for others will continue on through all those she cared for.
Her funeral service will be in South Jordan, Utah on Monday, February 6, 2023. 10227 S 4000 w South Jordan Utah 84009. The viewing will start at noon and the service will begin at 2 pm. Her burial will be at Magnolia Memorial in Garden Grove, CA, at a date to be determined.
